From Star Wars and Aliens to The Muppets and Labyrinth, all great films and TV shows rely on special effects and movie magic to create the worlds we love. With the recently advertised prequel to 'The Dark Crystal' and the forever possible 'Labyrinth' reboot we are really excited to announce three artists with a special effect focus to celebrate this valuable part of motion picture production. These three guests have an abundance of talent spanning these and many other productions. Trevor Butterfield, David Bulbeck and the recently announced Toby Philpott will be available for signings throughout the day with a Q&A not to be missed.
Trevor is a British actor turned special effects artist who has worked on both modern and classic cult franchises.
Trevor started his career as an actor, most notably in 'Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back' portraying a Stormtooper and Bossk along side Alan Harris. He then returned to the galaxy far far away for 'Star Wars: Return of the Jedi' to take role of Lieutenant Blout, a Stormtrooper and Giran.
After fulfilling roles in front of the camera, Trevor turned his attention to working behind it, creating special effectors for films such as, 'Indiana Jones: The Last Crusade', 'Aliens', 'Labyrinth', the 'Harry Potter' series of films and 'Prometheus' to name a few.
Trevor will be signing throughout the day along with a Q&A.
In his capacity as a master pu;ppeteer David has worked on some classic movies including 'Labyrinth', 'Who framed Roger Rabbit?', 'Little Shop of Horrors' to name but a few. Along with voice work within 'The Muppets' move franchise, he was also a part of the original Doctor Who series playing the monster, 'Foamsi'.
David will be signing throughout the day, taking time out for a Q&A
Toby Philpott is an English puppeteer and performer who has been involved with many blockbusters over the years; 'Who framed Roger Rabbit', 'The Dark Crystal' and the endearing cult classic Labyrinth to name but a few.
Most famously Toby was one of the puppeteers behind the villainous Jabba the Hutt in 'Star Wars: Return of the Jedi'
Toby will be signing throughout the day, taking time out for a Q&A and photo opportunities our very own life size replica of Jabba himself!
